As the People's
Governor we are listening to YOU! We felt it necessary to add a page
to our site to include what YOU, the people are asking and wanting
to know about the issues that will frame Tennessee's 2010 Governor's
Race!

Carl with White County Sheriff Oddie
Shoupe, Sparta, TN. Rally, July 2010
Thank you for your
input and comments

Cheri Baker, Tennessee, July 2010
Dear
Mr. Whitaker,
I agree with most of the things that you
say....I have more in-depth questions about the
immigration and employment areas. I also believe
that public offices should answer to the public
in which they serve. I hope you do well in the
election. You have my vote!
Thank You, Cheri Baker

Ben Fields, Tri-Cities, Tennessee, July 2010
Osiyo',
I have been on your website, and checked out
your platform. I have been checking on all the
candidates in TN, and their platform. To date, I
find yours most appealing. I also believe that
you are a man of honor and strength to stand by
your convictions.
I am neither Liberal nor Conservative but I lean
more to the side that's against big government
but for the little guy.
-
Your stand on
Federal Government interference in States business is what we
all should adhere to.
-
Your stand on Second
Amendment Rights is spot-on, as well as corruption in our state
government.
-
Illegal Aliens in TN
is also a big problem as far as I can tell, with crime soaring
and high jobless rates. If they are in this country illegally,
they should be documented and deported, and if they are caught
is the U.S. again, they should receive a period of
incarceration. Another problem is issuing drivers licenses to
illegal's that can's speak or write English. All the road signs
are in English, so how can someone that doesn't know English be
expected to translate them?
-
Another problem is
lobbying, which contributes largely to the corruption in our
state as well as federal government. I feel that all lobbying
should be made a crime, and if caught doing so, the lobbyist and
anyone that accepts money or gifts, should be imprisoned. Not
just a slap on the hand, but a substantial sentence.
-
Also, you are right
about Tenn Care. It needed to be overhauled, but not the way it
was done. There were a lot of people with life threatening
illnesses that were disenrolled, while illegal aliens and even
people from other states were allowed to remain. A lot of the
people that were kicked off the roll was unable to purchase
insurance even if they could afford it (which most couldn't)
because of pre-existing conditions. I know this from experience.
Here are some things I believe
-
I believe that our
country was once a great cultural, technological, industrial ,
and caring nation, and can be again if we get back to Government
for the people, By the people, And of the people.
-
I believe that God
still looks over our country with the same love he has always
had for us even though we turn our backs on him more and more
every day.
-
I believe that the
start of our country's moral and sociological decay began when
prayer was taken from our schools, and has filtered down to
every facet of our life.
-
I believe that large
Pharmaceutical Companies prey on the American people because
they can sell their drugs to Canada and other countries who can
then sell them for less than half of what they are priced here
in the U.S.
-
I believe that the
Oil Companies are more concerned with their net profit now than
the fact that if they price it out of range for the average
American because of the economic situation, that they will lose
a lot more in the long run.
-
I believe that it is
our obligation and privilege to care for the environment so that
our children and their children will have a chance to see God's
beauty in the world.
-
I believe that there
is nothing impossible if we work together for a common goal.
-
I believe that the
Democrats and Republicans could do more good for our country if
they had a more bi-partisan outlook on issues. Everything is not
always black and white, and each issue should be taken and
weighed and genuine dialog open up, and not just toe the party
line. Actually take their constituents into consideration.
-
I believe that if
our leaders would just listen to their hearts and minds, and not
what the party says, we could be the great country that we once
were.
-
I believe that if it
was not for the sacrifice of our Veterans and Military we would
not enjoy what amount of freedom we have today. Even if we don't
agree with the Wars we fight, we should support our troops and
anyone else put in harms way. To every American who ever served
in the military to defend our flag, I say thank you from the
bottom of my heart.
Finally, I'd like to say that TN has been my home since I was two
days old. My blood runs Volunteer Orange, and as far as I am
concerned, I have found my candidate for governor. Mr Carl
Twofeathers Whitaker. I think you are just what TN needs at this
time in our history I am looking forward to seeing you in Northeast
TN, (Tri-Cities) before the election. I would truly love to meet
you.
May the Great Spirit walk with you in your endeavors and light your
path.
Thank you,,,,,,,,Ben Fields

Dear Mr. Whitaker:
As a Tennessee citizen, I'd like to forward this short writing
because I know you may become one of my elected leaders. I am HIGHLY
concerned with how our government is behaving and hope more
liberty-minded individuals will take the helm for "We the People".

a candidate like Mr. Whitaker here in Arkansas. Mr. Whitaker, just
please let me say I admire everything you're doing for the state of
Tennessee. This Tarheel would be proud to vote for you if we resided
in the same state. Best of luck and God bless, Jim Whitley

I'm inclined to move to Tennessee just to vote for you, 2010-

My biggest concern is that the state NOT cave in to federal
encroachment on State's Rights issues. Federal abuse of power is
increasing and about to get quickly out of hand, if the states do
not take action very soon to defend their sovereignty from federal
tyranny. Bill Boyer
I received
information about your campaign from a friend of
mine. I personally am a staunch libertarian and
a believer in Jeffersonian democracy. How do you
feel about the issues that I am interested in?
How do you feel about the Department of
Education and the Federal governments
involvement with local education? What role
should the state play in educating our children?
What are your plans to reform TENNCARE and how
will you do so in a way that does not place
undue taxes on an already heavily taxed state?
Are you a believer in states rights? Thank you
for your response.
Sincerely,
Lena Beal-Cavness
In short- Any and all
platforms need to have the Tennessee working
class, Tennessee Veterans, and there families in
mind and not the interest of corporate America
and illegal aliens that are encroaching on us
like buzzards to a wounded deer. We need to
return Tennessee to her proud heritage past.
Where Old fashion morals meant something, Where
family was the law and the core nucleus of any
town. Not gangs ( that are rising) not outside
companies bargaining out natural resources our
southern hospitality. Yea or very way of life.
We were called the volunteer state yet we turn
ourbacks on those who actually live up to that
title. The farmers who are raped by banks and
state politicians of there multiple generational
way of life. We need to remember the blue color
factory workers that make this state survive.
We need to find ways of promoting economic
growth ( state lottery, floating casinos, tax
corporate factories and foreign interest, state
well fare for not immigrants or anyone who fails
to try (pregnant teens, drop outs druggies, etc.)
) before we consider adding state tax which will
kill our citizens who are barely making it now.
We also need to provide more benefits for our
Native American citizens. Since this was there
home long before it was ours. Last but not least
we need to protect the rights and security of
our churches before Current liberals (ACLU)
destroy the very institute that was
the foundation of this great nation. As an
retired Sailor. Let me sum up what this State
must hear daily through
the famous battle cry in our nations naval
history. "DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP" We can still
turn her about.
