Native American gubernatorial candidate wants to give a voice..

A Native American Indian gubernatorial candidate wants to give the people of Tennessee
a better voice in their government.

Carl "Two Feathers" Whitaker said it was through his travels and in meeting
people from around the state that he determined running for governor in
2010.

He is indigenous or what has been referred to as Native American and said
as a minority, he has seen firsthand some issues faced by minority citizens
in this state. Job discrimination on race, sexual harassment and age has been a problem in Tennessee.

"I am seeking the office of governor as an independent candidate because
someone has to speak for those who feel they have no voice when it comes to
their concerns," Whitaker stated.

"We have been given many promises that things would be better here in Tennessee ,but we have yet to see any of them."Whitaker reminds people of better health care, better education and lower taxes that was promised and it never came.
